Computer Tech Support

EGI Systems, a Bay Area leader in small-business IT solutions, has an opening for a full time Systems Engineer. EGI Systems delivers computer tech support to small business with five or more computers. We specialize in Microsoft Small Business Server deployment and maintenance. We provide computer tech support both at our client’s sites and remotely.

The position is 30 to 40 hours per week and requires the following skills:

- Must hold a current Microsoft Certified Professional certification.
- Minimum two years of Windows desktop support experience.
- Minimum one year of Windows server support experience.
- High-quality oral/written communication and customer service skills to handle incoming/outgoing phone calls, client documentation, corporate spreadsheets, etc.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. The ideal applicant is a self-starter with the proven ability to prioritize and multi-task important goals under strict deadlines.

Regular position responsibilities include:

- Integrate new desktop and laptop computer systems into existing Small Business Server network and transfer all user files and settings to new system.
- Responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in configuring, deploying and maintaining Small Business Server.
- Configure cellular hand-held devices, such as the Treo, to synchronize with Small Business Server.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, including procedures and client documentation binders.
- Assist users with operation of Microsoft Office applications.
- Monitor and maintain Veritas Backup Exec system.
